Why choose a capacitive touchscreen?
If you want to improve screen contrast and clarity, capacitive touchscreens are the first choice for resistive screens, which are more reflective due to their number of layers. Capacitive screens are also more responsive and can be used with multi-point input, called “multi-touch.” However, due to these advantages, they are sometimes not as cost effective as resistive touch panels.

What is capacitive touch?
In contrast to resistive touchscreens, capacitive touchscreens use the electrical properties of the human body as input. When touched with a finger, a small electrical charge is attracted to the point of contact, which allows the display to detect where it received input.
